Started in class and Homework for tonight: Pg 233-235, #7-10, 14,17,20* AND the frustum set up in class. (* #20 is a real treat).

Extra help is available tomorrow at lunch; usual conditions apply.

• We’ve moved on to probability now.
• Discussion of theoretical vs experimental probabilities and where the values come from.
• No new homework; stay tuned, tomorrow there should be some.

Assignment was reviewed and further practice done in class similar to the last two questions. No new homework for tonight. Expect another (smaller) assignment on Friday.

Further practice with metric system and SA , volume formula for prisms/cylinders. Here are some notes from class. I strongly encourage you to have these formula in an easy to find place… there may be tasks for which you may use only a formula sheet. Have it ready!

• Expect an assignment Monday 21 Jan … the first couple will be open notes, later you will only be permitted a formula sheet.
• Remember: Extra help tomorrow at lunch.
• Finish up to #16 on pg. 225 for tomorrow so we can move on before the weekend.
