Assignment today in class (open notes). Probability content to date was included.
- Solving for probabilities of individual and compound events (dependent and independent).
- Difference between theoretical and experimental.
- Showing possibilities with tree diagrams and organizational tables.
- Express probabilities as fraction and decimal values.
The next two days will include some discussion of subjective judgement, making decisions based on that vs. theoretical probability, and some further review of content on today’s assignment.
Second assessment will be Friday in class, closed notes/books (more a test than an assignment).
Next week we will move ahead with some problem solving skills development and begin chapter 5 late next week or early the week after (depending on how things go next week).
